The mission teams of the church are called to lead the congregation toward becoming the visible face of Christ to our neighbors in this community and throughout the world. Second Saturday Mission Projects
Second Saturday projects are held every month to provide opportunities for members to share “hands on” help with our neighbors. These projects have included preparing meals, painting, building homes, packing meals, planting flowers, delivering meals, and leading worship services.
Support of Local Agencies
The team evaluates and provides financial support to many social care agencies across the city. Each December the team leads the Deacons’ Angel Tree and Food Basket project.
Dive in Day
Every spring, a day of local mission called Dive In Day is held. The whole church comes together for breakfast and then spreads out across the community, serving in a wide variety of service projects from preparing Easter baskets to pet therapy to painting and cleaning.
The Mission Team actively seeks ways to enable our congregation to share God’s love with those outside our local community. Continued support goes out to our partnership with the Presbytery of Honduras. The annual Alternative Gift Market is promoted and supported.
